Getting Started With OTR

Every patient's needs are different. Our new-patient process is designed to help our healthcare team understand your health history, concerns, goals, and potential treatment options before making individualized recommendations.

1. Contact OTR

Contact our office by phone, email, or our website contact form to discuss scheduling and the next steps for becoming a patient.

Please do not use the general website contact form for urgent medical concerns or to submit sensitive medical information. Existing patients should use OTR's designated secure patient communication method when appropriate.

2. Complete Your Clinical Evaluation

Depending on the service you are seeking and your individual clinical needs, your evaluation may include medical history, consultation, laboratory testing, an in-person examination, or other appropriate assessment.

Laboratory testing may be ordered or reviewed when clinically appropriate.

3. Meet With a Licensed Healthcare Professional

A licensed healthcare professional will review the information relevant to your care, discuss your concerns and goals, and determine which treatment options may be medically appropriate for you.

Not every patient is a candidate for every treatment.

4. Review Your Individual Treatment Options

If treatment is appropriate, your provider will discuss the options that may be suitable for your individual needs.

Treatment may include ongoing clinical care, follow-up visits, laboratory monitoring, lifestyle recommendations, procedures, or prescription medication when medically appropriate.

Requesting a specific treatment or medication does not guarantee that it will be recommended or prescribed.

5. Ongoing Care & Monitoring

Patients receiving ongoing treatment may require follow-up consultations, laboratory testing, clinical monitoring, or treatment adjustments.

The type and frequency of follow-up care depend on the treatment being provided and the patient's individual clinical needs.

Membership & Program Options

OTR offers monthly and annual program or membership options for certain ongoing services.

Depending on the selected program and the patient's individualized treatment plan, fees may include clinical consultations, follow-up care, routine monitoring, laboratory services, supplies, and medication when prescribed and specifically included in that program.

Prescription medication is not guaranteed and is provided only when prescribed by a licensed healthcare professional following an appropriate clinical evaluation.

Eligibility, medication selection, pharmacy fulfillment, continued treatment, and the services included in a particular program depend on clinical appropriateness, the program selected, and applicable law.

Where a compounded medication is prescribed, patients should understand that compounded medications are not FDA-approved and have not been reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality.

Important Information About Prescription Treatment

Prescription medication is available only when prescribed by a licensed healthcare professional following an appropriate evaluation.

Completing an intake form, contacting OTR, scheduling or paying for a consultation, enrolling in a membership or program, or requesting a particular medication does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued.

When prescription treatment is appropriate, medication selection is based on the patient's individual clinical needs and other relevant considerations.

In certain circumstances, a provider may prescribe a patient-specific compounded medication when clinically appropriate and permitted by applicable law.

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are marketed. Compounded medications are not the same as FDA-approved brand-name or generic medications.

Telehealth & Location of Care

Telehealth services are available only to eligible patients who are physically located in a state where the treating healthcare professional is appropriately licensed and where telehealth care is legally permitted.

Some services require laboratory testing, an in-person examination, diagnostic evaluation, or an in-office procedure and cannot be completed entirely through telehealth.

Prescription medication, including controlled substances when applicable, is never guaranteed through a telehealth consultation.

Payment & Appointment Policies

OTR currently accepts credit and debit cards.

Before enrolling in an ongoing program or membership, patients should review the applicable fees, billing terms, cancellation policy, and services included in their selected program.
