Amy Stewart, NP
Amy is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner at OTR, bringing over 18 years of nursing experience with a specialized focus on hormone optimization, thyroid health, and women’s wellness. She began her nursing career in 2008 after graduating from the Medical College of Georgia with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
She spent the first seven years of her career in labor and delivery, where she cultivated a deep appreciation for the complexities of women’s health and the importance of individualized, compassionate care. In addition, Amy has over 10 years of perioperative experience. She later earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2023.
Amy’s clinical approach is both comprehensive and highly personalized, integrating evidence-based medicine with a functional, root-cause perspective. She has a particular passion for hormone and thyroid optimization—an interest shaped by her own experience navigating unresolved health concerns within conventional medicine. This insight allows her to connect with patients on a deeper level, offering care that is clinically sound, empathetic, and attentive to each individual’s unique journey.
Outside of the clinic, Amy embraces a balanced and intentional lifestyle centered around her family and faith. She is married and a proud mother of two boys, who keep her busy with their many sporting events. She enjoys staying active with nightly walks, baking sourdough, reading, and spending time outdoors. She is also deeply committed to continued learning through the study of functional medicine and finds joy in traveling and exploring new places.
